I've read about that FS19 will have different ways of modding which means harder work or maybe even more expensive with program called Maya. Yet again, I don't know about that too much.
They do not disappear they are merely hidden. For example here are the mods for FS15

Yeah, I dont kno much about how to mod and have the greatest admiration for those who do :)
I do hope it will still be usable in game because I to will be playing FS17 for some time after FS19 is released. I am a self-confessed "modaholic" and have had like way too many files in the mod folder since FS13 XD
I actually broke FS15 i think it was, because anything over 508 files just caused the game simply fall over and refuse to run! hehe :P
O.o i really didn't know that!
Thanks both of you, I feel a lot happier and more optimistic now hehe <3
FS17 won't have any more updates anyway so all your mods that worked by now will work in the future as well. I love mods in FS17 so that is also one of the reasons why I won't buy FS19 as soon as it's released. It won't go anywhere. :)
Using too much mods can (may) break the game save file, I know that for sure. :)
EDIT:
Haven't seen you edited your post in time so that's why I replied again.
