Where are my FS17 files stored on my PC?

I have found two FS17 folders on my PC: one in Users and another in Program Files>Steam>steamapps>common. Both of them have a mods folder. Which one does the game use and so which should I be putting mods into? Thanks.

Go to your Documents not through steam

So you are saying the FS17 folder in my Documents>User is the one that stores the currently used mods, and not the one under Steam? Just making sure.

C:\Users\*yourname*\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2017\mods

That is where all mods should be stored which you are using for your current game.

The one under steam apps can be deleted, it should not be there.

there are progs where you can set the dir where the mods are, and can change it easily, like fs mod manager.
very handy, if you want to play with a map with specific equipment..
