Is it possible for me and my daughter to play on a multiplayer server with other people and us both work on the same farm?

Yes, if you get a server then its just up to you to do what you want on it :)

You can play on someone elses dedicated server, but will be subject to their rules/guidelines and mod choices.
You can rent your own dedicated server, set your own rules/mods.
You can also host a game on your own computer and both of you link and play.



The dedicated server will run if you are logged in or not.

If you host a local multiplayer game, time/gameplay starts and stops when you start the game or end the game for each session.

Its the same as fs13 in that regard..
You can join other servers and do it, but i would join a private server if you join one, only because the more "public" and open server often have people come in and ruin the game for the rest..
If you wanna be more in control i would get my own server, that way you determind what mods and map you can play on as theres lots of good mods and maps out there that will enhance the experience of mp..

yea i was just hoping to have more people than just us.

What types of things can you do together as coop? How can we work with each other? On a private or public server?

On a private or public server, depending on the map you can do everything in game if the server rules allow it.

I may not be understanding what you are actually asking.

Just an example of how we can work together. The videos ive seen are one person doing something, going back, selling, rinse repeat.

If you look in this forum theres lots of threads about servers looking for players.. Are they something for you? I dont know..
Just because you get your own server doesnt mean that its only you and your daughter thats gonna play on it :) You can "invite" others too if you find some others to play with you, ie via a thread on the forum..

Multiplayer is just like singleplayer, just more people to do things..

Yes. Anything which can be done in the game by more than one person you could do together. Example, you drive the harvestor and she follows with a tipper. Both actively working together.

There are even maps with factories to handle/build/feed crops etc. Many things for you to work together on.

Depending on the age of your daughter, I may know a perfect map for ya'll. I shall send you a friend invite so that we may message about it, if you so desire.
