Map doesn't download. Keeps sticking on "pending..."

I have tried all morning to download and install the "Coldborough" map in the "Mods" section.
It keeps showing a percentage, and after a few percentage points it goes back to "Pending...".
Sometimes it continues after a while, so I figured to just let it sit for a while, but after two hours it wasn't going anywhere.
Going back to the menu throws the map out of the download section and I have to start all over.
I've tried completely removing the game from my computer and re-installing it through Steam, but that wonderful steam cloud backup pretty much re-installs the game with all the mods and maps I've just tried to get rid of (yet it can't remember any of the important settings like video, keyboard mapping etc.) including a couple of percentages of the Coldborough map which then still doesn't install completely.

dumb you have your mods in the documents/my games/farming simulator 17 :p
just download from the internet...

Sounds like a Bad zip file. I personally wouldn't bother with it again if I was you

The in game mod hub does this sometimes when it is experiencing high traffic it can hang up on downloads. When it does this just try again at another time, off peak hours if you can.

I have had some hang up on me and I have tried later and they downloaded fine.

I have downloaded the zip file for the mod, and I have yet to find a good explanation of how to install it on the steam version of FS17.
There are several different explanations out there on YouTube, but none of them have worked for me so far.

If you have other mods they could be updating before it downloads the map. Check the downloads tab in the mod menu to see if anything is downloading

With the download still "pending", the downloads tab is empty.

scroll to the other side. sometimes the mods download from that end based on your resolution
