How do I host a co op server for me and a buddy?

Non dedicate server just start your game and select the Multiplayer option and give your farm a name and start playing. Your buddy will be able to join as long as you are playing.

You can also rent a dedicated server where the game is running 24/7 and you both can join to play anytime you like.

We dont see any join option and when we were looking it up it said it wasnt possible

Do some research in multiplayer for FS2015 and you will find many fixes. What worked for me was to setup a port forward in router settings and enable PNP for the server. Also make sure your windows firewall open for the game.
