Farming Sim 17 won't work

Hello all,

I am experiencing the following thing: i download from steam FS 17 and check Play as the game has been downloaded option. The game starts, and i can play and do everything in the game.

The issue is, if I exit the game, and try to start it again... it won't start. The window FS 17 is starting appears, i can see in task manager the game starting, then after 2 seconds it disappears and it won't start. i tried reinstalling it many times, the result is the same!!!

please help!

i have win 10, i7-6700, nvidia geforce gtx 1060, 8GB DDR4 RAM 2TB-HDD+8SSD Hybrid Asus ROG PC

i want to play fs 17!!!!

Have you tried rebooting your computer and verifying the cache?
This sounds like the game hasn't shut down properly and a file is still active, which is blocking the game from being restarted.

i just rebooted, verified, and everything is ok. once i received the error giants editor 7.0 has stoped working....close the program

When you close the program FS17 writes files back to the steam server. If you try to restart while that is happening it won't start. You have to wait until it completes. You can see it if you are in Steam Library and watch the file name. Takes about a miniute. Don''t know if that is your issue or not

This is what I would agree your issue likely is. The upload speed to the cloud depends on your internet connection, you may want to disable cloud for FS17 and see if that alleviates your issue.

I disabled the Cloud before reinstalling so that does not have any effect. But same results. I am very upset about this issue and trying all sorts of things to make the game work.

I tried uninstalling steam, reinstalling again....
i can play the game for the first start.... and then bang.... won't start second time...

If ssomeone has some ideas please let me know.

I think the issue is with incompatibility between some of the drivers. I can play FS 17 on my laptop but on mydesktop it won't start.

can anyone help me figure out what might the problem be? tried to configure nvidia, but still no results.

Try to un-plug your Joystick (if you have one), worked for me

Post your log.txt. It can be found in Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2017/log.txt

be sure to have graphics drivers up to date, it might be your problem.

Hello all, siet you were right. the issue is if I pull out my steering pad the game will start, if plug it back in it won't :-) thanks for the advice!!!

Dear FS17 developers, you could really fix this issue, I can't play hte game if I would like to use my ACME wheel.
