Manually installing mods on FS17+MAC+STEAM
Hi all,

I want to add a mod that isn't in the in-game mod menu. Having spent a good hour on Google and YouTube, I've been unable to find out the folder for FS17+MAC+STEAM.

I've found the install locations for other setups, but none for MAC+STEAM. Can anyone please advise?

Thanks!

Thanks Jeremy. But Mac/Steam store the files in a different location.

Actually, you can edit a config file to move your mod folder elsewhere(which I recommend if you're going to be constantly adding new mods to it).

Anyway, depending on your specific system, you may find it here:
/Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator2017/mods

Hi BurntHard. The folder you've specified doesn't exist in my system.
Specifically the FS folder isn't in the Application Support folder.

Yes, I still haven't found any resolution for this. Can anyone shed any light on it?

~/Library/Containers/com.focus-home.farmingsim17/Data/Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator17/mods

How about here? I still say that the best solution here is dual boot with Windows and use the far superior Windows Explorer system.

Hi BurntHard, no I'm afraid that folder doesn't exist on my machine either.

This is so frustrating! *groans*

I've read somewhere that the folder may be hidden (similar as an option in Windows). Try turning hiding folder option off?

Edit.

Hi, yes I can already see the library and container folders, so unfortunately it’s not that.

Try ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/FarmingSimulator2017/Mods under your user specific profile. That's where I found mine (2013 MacBook pro running Mojave)
