Is there a place to go or do i just fast forward with time for sleep.

Farming is a 24/7 occupation. No time for sleep. So fast forward through the night or just do what I do and crack on with it. Daylight is for Townies anyway.

there is no sleep function integrated in the basegame.
if you really don't want to work at night, you can take a walk while you fastforward.
but on base illumination the night isn't that dark that you can't work further.

From my experiences IRL where I come from if you worked all night in the fields you then spent the whole next day fixing tires and axle spindles. Needless to say we only farmed at night when absolutely necessary.

There is a mod that lets you speed time to 12000x which you can use to skip nights. I think there's another one (or a setting on the same mod) that has a more manageable 1200x too.

12000x will let you skip days and weeks. Wake up from your sleep and its next year.

Yeah, I tried that 12,000 one. Before I knew it it was the next morning when I only wanted to skip a couple hours. I think I'd like the 1200 better. 120 isn't quite fast enough for skipping night.

The easiest mod to use is called Game Extension (available from the in-game mod downloader).

Just press the I (i) key and select the multiplier (from 0 to 20) to set from game speed 120 to 2400.

At 9:00pm it will automatically speed up to your preferred speed and stop again at 6:00am.

The mod also has a few other features that are useful :)

Yaeh, like animals giving birth or machinery needing a *quick* repair for the morning -harvesting for eg. But *no* you don't work through the night because crops don't grow (photosynthesis has a big say in that ) and animals are sleeping. Only during summer harvesting -lots to bring in in short window- do you tend to work late for a few days.
