FS 13 - FS 15 - FS 17

Thinking of buying one of these, feel free to throw in your opinions, remarks, thoughts which of them is the best for a casual player with a mid spec pc.

Unless your computer has the same qualifications as potato, get FS17. It is better than the other games in every way, other than performance.

Yep. I don't see many mods at all being made for 15 any more. I uninstalled 15 earlier this year. Never had 13.

If I were you, I would just go with 17, it's 40% off right now. However, 15 is currently 75% off if budget is an issue. But I would go with their latest edition, I feel it's a little better than 15. Hard to say everything that would be different as they are quite similar. The mission system is different, instead of doing forklift/mowing/crop delivery tasks, you actually help other farmers with their fields. Which in turn reduces the cost to purchase their field later on. Graphics are nearly, if not identical. Some new vehicles. I don't play co-op, but according to Steam Spy there are more players in 17 if that interests you.

The feature I like Best (XBox One version) is that different sell points for the same product have prices that are not locked together. Much more reson to use all of the sale points. In FS15 I almost always use the same sell point for product.

AI despite still being pretty dumb is better. Bale handling is better. Improved vehicles physics. New crops. Pigs. Three part field fertilization. In-game mod hub.

Are all amongrt the reasons 17 is a good choice.

FS17 allows you to work on unowned fields to earn money, instead of FS15 mission system I never really understood.

FS17 has an ingame mod manager which makes installing mods a lot easier, especially when doing multiplayer game.

FS17 added a few more grain types and an animal type.

FS17 looks prettier.

Basically, I see no reason to play FS15 anymore. FS15 offers nothing that FS17 doesn't offer. Unless either budget or performance is an issue.
