Fertilizing while seeding?

Is fertilizing while seeding an option? I think that using either the sprayer or the dry spreader is a bit cumbersome, and my seeding equipment all have the dry fert icon in the corner with the seed icon. But, when I pull up to either the dry fert tank or liquid fert tank, nothing comes up to fill those. Any help here?

there is a seeder and fertilize combo....look at Ponto, or harverst good.....just to name a few off the top of my head. i know there are mods with both but

There is a stock sower which does both, it is great to start with. Great Plains is the name. The Pronto, (Horsch) is good for later, but expensive for a starting farmer.

You caught me mid edit. That Horsch is a good sower and it is stock, but not for starting with. The Great Plains is the one I would suggest as a starter sower.

I tried it on the Seed Hawk from the Big Bud Pack and it does offer a fertilizer tank, but when i try to fill it, the seed tank fills instead. Any one else try it with that, or the other seeder from that pack?

There's more than one in vanilla game and lots of mod ones. There's at least one for each type of seeder (most grain ones, corn/sunflower/sugar beet ones and potato ones.) Not sure if sugar cane for Platium Edition will use existing sowers or a new type.

You have to use fertilizer bags to fill fertilizer and seed bags to fill seed.

What about the bulk tanks from the ModHub?

birklid - You need to be at a supply source for both.. seeds and fertilizer. They are not interchangeable. Seeds will not fill fert and vice versa. Any supply source will work, stock or mod, assuming the mod works.

Think I found my problem. I set up another fert tank in another spot on the farm, and it's filling the Seed Hawk. Tanks must be too close in the other location.

That is a possibility. I have read some map makers type that was an issue on their maps they had to correct, triggers being to close.

If you mean the separate ones for fertilizer and seed it works the same. If there's one that fills everything I have no idea.
