Guide for Seasons mod?
I looked on youtube and saw no guides for the seasons mod. I want to know what to do in Spring,Autumn, summer and winter. and I also want to know when the best time is for planting a specific crop/root. I have the seasons change every 12 days. Thank you if you help.

It doesn't say which time is the best for planting a specific crop/root. I see in the menu when you press Alt+ S there are gaps between the Planting seasons and the harvesting seasons. So will the plants get witherd in the gaps while its growing? Like soybeans? Cause i'm confused about that.
i guess the gap is the growth time of your planting.
the time the seedlings need to grow to be getting ready for harvest.
there're three stages of growing and of harvesting a plant.
imo the green bar stands for how long you can plant that seed,
to grow it, before it's too late for growing.
the yellow bar stands for how long you can harvest that plant before
weather changes and it's getting too wet (autumn) or too cold to harvest.
that's how i read the whole thing. i might be wrong, if so just let me know :worker:

Trainwreck got it right that the "gap" between planting and harvest is the time the plants are maturing/ growing. Just a heads up that the crops may look like they are ready to harvest (as in Vanilla game) but you can't harvest until the harvest season is active according to your calendar. I hope this kinda makes sense and helps.

thats right sow any time in the green for a particular crop, don't plant early (before green like soy or sunflowers) but before germination temperature is okay. wait until they show harvestable in autumn on the map. they will wither the first day of winter.
one can sow wheat barley and ra.pe in autumn for a late summer harvest the following year (will not wither during winter)

Watch you ground temp. if you plant too early (temp to low ) your seed will not come up!

Actually thats wrong, as long as you are in the green zone for planting time all the cold will do is stop them germinating, they will only do that when the corredt temps are reached, crops will only die if you plant them before the green show bar is present.

Here is the manual, which gives more info than the in-game help section. https://www.realismusmodding.com/mods/seasons/manual/
Alt + F will give you the weather forcast for the next few days.
Alt + S will give you the seasons menu. Page one, the overview, has the planting times/temperatures. (Note: it is the soil temp you need to watch, not the air temp) The second page gives you your Seasons options such as farenheight temps instead of centigrade.

From what I've read, not all crops will wither in winter. It appears that wheat, barley and canola can be planted in autumn for a winter crop. The trick, I imagine, will be finding a harvest-appropiate day-- a clear day when the crops are not moist from snow or a prior rain. I'm in early autumn. I just planted two fields of canola to test this out. I also planted a field of oilseed radish, which is supposed to be doable in the autumn, as long as the ground temps are high enough.

wheat, barley and rap.e will reach stage 2 before winter and will stop growing until the following spring. they will be ready for harvest in late summer, before anything else except ai sugarbeet.

i think one will find if one does not harvest wheat, barley or rap.e when is is ready in summer/autumn it will wither in winter.
