Mods for realism?
Hi All,

New to game and loving it so far. I don't know if it's too early for me to try this, but how can I make the game as more realistic as I can with mods? Which mods would you recommend? I have seen some mods in the mod shop that add things like tires destroying crops or manually attaching components, but which of these are good and are any of them broken?

Any tips?

Also any mods that add some extra nice functionality to the game?

Is that farmingmods site good for mods for FS17? Or is the in-game mods shop the best place?

Hot Butter, for simplicity Giants' In-game mod hub is best. With well practiced internet safety (AKA Commonsense and Logic) the other sites are good as well. farmingmods2015.com is a good site which I used frequently back on FS15. IIRC they added a special tab for FS17 mods. I personally use farming17mods.com for FS17 mods. Adblocker is something I recommend to have when browsing the download sites for safety.

Some mods I recommend (links when I find my other mouse as trackpad sucks.) are Drive Control, Courseplay, Follow Me, GPS, and Combine Signals. There also the 3 4RealModule mods in game by Giants that I can recommend.

If you use the seasons mod get it from the Giants mod hub. The other sites are rip offs and I don't recommend getting any mods from that site that is linked.

Another big realism mod is the More Realistic mod by dural. You can find the information to that mod on the FS-UK website.

Wow man, that list is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to make it! Downloading them all now :)

One question - seems like Courseplay is only in Beta? I wasn't able to find a Release version
Birckablock Jul 9, 2017 @ 6:21pm
Yah, Courseplay seems to be in a beta stage for FS17. From that page you will be able to download the mod. It is a few steps to get it ingame because of github but it is quite simple.

Here's a tutorial for it by RDAllen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqgwOZip2ZY
