Differences Between FS 15 and FS 17?
I've been playing FS 15 close to a year (with a bit of a break from June-Nov) and already bought/downloaded 17 last night. I opened and looked at things tody, but didn't play yet - even the tutorials. I'm wondering what are the differences? It seems like it's mostly the same but with better graphics and with content much like some of the more popular mods from 15 (pigs, more crops and the water mod) plus male and female animals (which I assume allows breeding.) It also has a new map (gold something valley from what I remember), but removes Bjornholm and Westbridge Hills ( I have Sosnovka for 15 as I have Gold Edition.) I've notices there is no DLC yet. Just asking anyway.

Follow this link to their site and watch both YouTube videos and read the description all the way. If this still doesn't answer your question, Google your title (excluding the question mark) and see what comes up. Somebody probably made a comparison list somewhere.

Didn't really answer the question but looks similar and maybe with more choice of equipment.

So you want to know which one is better? I say 17 is better I have played them all since 2011! There is alot of differance with the two games New Map! New missions! A bunch of mods! If you want to use mods I highly recommend www.modland.net

Actually I was asking for the differences - not which one is better, not a description of either, etc. I literally asked what were the differences. So far I see there are more crops and pigs, animals have to be bought at a location, not via the "P" dialogue, animals need water and the controls for rotating up/down the forklift-type vehicles are reversed.

Filling bunker silos with chaff is more in depth.

Round bake physics has improved.

Head eye tracking is now native to the game.

I think you should ask this before buying the game. This was answered countless times after FS17 came out. How about you go and try out for yourself? ;)

Well, one thing I absolutely don't like is the new way of having to buy palletes of fertilizer/seeds instead of the old way. Luckily I found a mod for placeable ones that work like the old way and read Sosnovka is the old way. I imagine many, if not most, mod maps will work the old way.

Maybe. There have been some modders doing conversion for old maps. modhub.us is a great site to use as well to find converter maps. Just be wary of those pesky 3rd party download sites. Most mods are hosted on the website itself. Another great source is fs-uk.com.
