Question about wheels and vibration
For the people they use a wheel. do you have vibration?,

i view the game can give vibration, but on my side i have nothing, i have the force feedback but no vibration, i use a "MOMO Racing" wheel from logiteck,

do this thing work only for people they use joystick for console?, i don't view any configuration in the game for the force feedback setting, but in the configuration file i view a line for the vibration, but even activate i don't have any vibration from the wheel...

No, FS does not support force feedback

Which, I might add, is extremely unfortunate and mildly irritating since every other driving game does : /

Ok thanks, i have asked it because of the line we view in the game.xml
----------------------------
<input>
<joystick enable="true" vibration="true" deadzone="0.14"/>
<mouse enable="true"/>
<keyboard enable="true"/>
<headTracking active="true" trackir="true" tobiieyex="true"/>
</input>
-----------------------------
so, when i view vibration, i have thinking it's for the joystick we us, (by default the vibration are set to false)

same thing for the head tracking, i have thinking it's for the thing about the headset for virtual reality, but it's seem i am in the potato...

thank for the andswer.

Np :) I learned xml so long ago I can't really read it anymore, much less tell you what it does (I think I didn't pay enough attn in class) haha

But I do know I get no force feedback in my wheel and I've read in multiple places that game doesn't support it. Maybe there is something that works with the joystick that's part of the FS Wheel set up?

I would guess the vibration is for gamepads, console users probably expect rumble as a standard feature.

The collaboration between Saitek (who went broke and was bought out by Logitech to become Logitech-Saitek) and Giants for their own FS Steering Wheel and control panel does not mention any force-back on the wheel.

Found a tip on here to make Force Feedback in wheels work, haven't felt any vibrations though.
You have to open FS 17, THEN open your wheel software, and then force feedback will work.
It is something that I have to do every time I play, which is slightly annoying. However it only take a few seconds to switch to my desktop, open my wheel software (I personally use a thrustmater wheel, so I open my thrustmaster software), then click back to the game and Force Feedback works.
Hope that helps!!

By force feed back do you mean auto return to center, or will it bump or jar when you hit a curb or bump in the field?

I've got a Logitech, and the above recommendation didn't seem to work for me. But I do get auto return to center. By force feedback I expect it to turn harder if I'm going faster.. jar if I hit a large bump etc. My understanding was that FS just doesn't do that stuff, but if I could get it to work, it'd sure add something to the game

You are talking more about environment feedback which is a function of force feedback. I have not noticed any feedback from hitting curbs etc. I couldn't even get any force feedback to work before the tip I mentioned, maybe you aren't having the same issue. When I started playing this game there was no feedback to the wheel at all. It was VERY easy to turn the wheel and I would always oversteer. Opening my wheel software after opening FS gave me feedback and auto return to center, which I did not have before. Sorry for the confusion :)

Np! Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I have what you have I think :)
We still need real force feedback. Like Spintires has!

Muddy fields would be nice.... But now I'm probably asking for too much lol

Yes, it's the thing i have wanted to say too when i say i have force feedback,

for me, when i open the game, i view the force feedback light on my wheel become active, so i have thinking i can have all the feeling of the force feedback, such as the American truck simulator" by example, when you run over a rock the wheel give feedback, ect...,

but the only thing they are activate, it's when i turn, my wheel try always to return to the center, but the feedback are a little hard so i have wanted to make it less hard because it's make such as when i have driving car without "power steering", but i view in game, they have no place to adjust the setting for the force feedback thing...,

i find it bad too they have not implemented it into the game, and to make a small complait here, for the price we have pay 64$ canadian, with the dlc), and because the game are more a vehicule simulator than a farming simulator, we pass more time in a vehicule than other thing, so i have thinking they make some better quality for driving such as AMerican truck simulator they cost the half of it but they have it in..., but it's just my thinking, perharps i have expecting for to much quality implementation...,

and if they make it and give this option only for the people they use console, i don't find it funny...,

but i have nothing more to say about the driving thing, when we drive, we have a very good control on a vehicule, and for the inside view it's very funny, but perharps it me too they have dreaming too much when i view the line of code they say we can put vibration on ha ha ha...,

i have not trying the program from Logitech they make use able to set the forcfeedback thing before we start the game but i doubt it's can add the vibration if the Farming Simulator have not the quality for this type of technology feeling...

Edit : i have trying directly from the Logitech Profiler but it's make the same thing, anyway, it's can be a very good idea if they finish by adding it one day, it's make already 5 game or more they make in the serie and they have not updated it on this...

Edit :
I have found this line in the "Log.txt", they show the game use the force feedback, but for an unknow reason no vibration for the wheel...
--------------------------------------
Input System
Keyboard enabled
Mouse enabled
Gamepad/Joystick enabled
Force Feedback enabled
Name: Logitech MOMO Racing
--------------------------------------

Edit :
ummm, from the main site i view the game are configurate to work well with this weel only...:
------------------------------------
Guillemot Universal Wheel 5in1 Steering Wheel USB
Hama PC Racing Wheel "Thunder V18"
Logitech Formula Vibration Feedback Wheel
Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
Saitek 4-in-1 Vibration Wheel
Speedlink 2in1 Force Vibration Racing Wheel
Speedlink Darkfire Racing Wheel
Thrustmaster Force Feedback Racing Wheel USB
Thrustmaster Universal Challenge 5 in 1 Racing Wheel
---------------------------------------
