Seriously Giants, your helper AI is making me leave the game.
I'm so frustrated with having to go back and redo half my field because these 'helpers' are such morons.

It's driving me away from the game.
Probably not coming back either.

I can't be the only one right?

I think the AI is working great, they avoid trees, rocks as if they have radar, watching them work they do multipoint turn arounds in short spaces or they will back up in the field to make a wide swing. I cant see why you would be having problems.

There are still problems with helpers...example: when i cultivate around my field (becuz i might have trees there stop the helper in normal way) and then want to cultivate "normaly again after" then the helper stop where i have cultivated around the field... it woked in fs 15 but not in fs 17.. and before the update the helper ditent care stop and just continued to the end of field.. wtf is going on...we can send people to moon,but not make fs helpers work normaly.. it makes me laugh in a weird way.. but beside that the helpers work okay.. (and i know giant aint NASA)

just need to know, what to expect from AI.. they like squared things not round or angled... and planting tree before cliff can avoid helper to climb that cliff :)

the ai is worse then what it was like on soznovka on fiels 19 it dont get to the end and turn like normal it goes in revers and iv got crop distruction on and it distroys like a large patch of crops near both ends of the tunnels and they never used to do that before 1.4

Yeah but I play Pine Cove and it only has rectangular fields, still the helpers dont finish their lanes, turn halfway and run off or just stand there.

I play alone and I cannot drive off with a load of crops without having to exit the truck and put the helpers back on the field.

I just cant get anything done like this.

use courseplay, the beta is out for fs17, much better than the standard ai helpers

So, some people are suggesting using a mod to make a basic core feature of the game function properly? Seems like something that Giants should take care of to me.

I am only 16 hours into the game on my 1st. play through. But so far, from what I have seen, The AI is VASTLY inproved from 2015.

They make percision multi point turns falwlessly, the line up right so there is very little overlap to get a better production coverage in few passes, I have not see them run it to trees or anything else and they no longer pull crazy Ivans in the middle of the feilds for no reason.

These are just the things I have noticed so far. Maybe as I get futher into the game It may change but for what I have accually seen, it is a far cray better than it ever was.

Sorry you are having probelms. But I am happy so far and other seem to agree as the thread will attest to. So maybe the problem is on your end , not the game code. Not say this is the case but it has to be considered as a possibilty.

Sorry you are having probelms. But I am happy so far and other seem to agree as the thread will attest to. So maybe the problem is on your end , not the game code. Not say this is the case but it has to be considered as a possibilty.
if you think there is no problem, get the great plains seeder, go to field 12 (from west to east) on goldcrest valley while planting grass, tell me its fine...

I definitely see improvement from 15. In 15 they used to all the time hit trees/fences/rocks/etc and just try to keep going through them. Or worse, with the seeders, get stuck wrapped around a tree.
