Never played Farming Simulator(s) Worth Buying?
So guys I never played a Farming Simulator game other than Stardew Valley but that's not even close so yea.

The problem is that I have no idea about Real life farming and tractors. I know nothing about Tractor brands or performance or anything in real life.

Will I still like this game if I buy it? I wanted to play something other than FPS games.

Thanks in Advance! Cheers!:brownchicken:

watch gameplay and see what you think

Real life performance of machines and the differences between them don't really translate into farming sim. For the most part you can just choose what you like the look of and be just fine. I would say look up some gameplay videos on YouTube, and if you decide to buy it play the tutorials before you start career mode. It's all pretty straight-forward but there is a learning curve especially if you aren't already familiar with agriculture.

watch the official vids here

Farming is -in the game- a sequence of tasks you do. Plow, seed, fertilize, grow, harvest, sell or store produce. Repeat and change crop etc. The only difference is that you will need basic equipment to harvest and seed and pickup different crops -you will see them in the vids i gave you. It's all pretty simple to pick-up and get going. It's a very chilling game and fits into times you just want to do something less stressful or hectic. Which for me is nearly every weekend. I also play a lot of RPGs and no longer play FPS - the nearest to that is FO4 with VATS :)

So I really don't need to have any prior knowledge about agriculture or real life farming to enjoy the game?

I can buy it for $15. Its tempting.

What can you buy for $15 these days - not much. Give it a shot if you like simulators. Do the tutorials and watch videos and you will pick it up

If you like machinery its a great game to unwind after a tough day at work, no stress, no killing, no rush. You can decide what you want to do in game; logging, grain farming, dairy cattle, sheep, pigs...it up to you.

It's pretty educational -on basic terms- you'll be able to recognise farm gear/equipment in use.
The animals are a bit more tricky to get going and manage; apart from sheep -which are the best to start out with.
Remember you can also do forestry using chainsaws, chippers and sell the wood/logs to mills and power plants.
Most of the games internal interface gives you info on what crops and gear to use to harvest. The only worst part is buying equipment and having to pick it up at the farm shop (more so if your leasing). If you buy it's yours. There's a degredation built in to all your gear. It wears out slowly and has a daily maintenance charge. Obviously -as i've said- you can lease gear at first to try it out. As most of the time early days it's far too expensive to buy. DONT cheat as there's a mod that starts you out with a million. Tons of downloadable mods in the games mod menu.

Awesome! the Offer doesn't end for another few days. Will concider it. I appreciate it all the feedback.

I would suggest it. This game is actually really good for teaching you those things you said you didn't know. That's how I found out that Lamorghini makes tractors...

yep, should agree- really chilling game, no killings, nobody call you noob, and you can do lot of different things, what fits to you better. But remember to clear forest from old trees AND plant twice that amount new trees :D
