Mod download speed

Is there a reason downloading mods is insanely slow when done in game?
I'm coming back since release and had tons of mods to install and update. It took almost 2 hours mainly cause of 2 maps I wanted. Regardless, I've wanted to stick with the in game mods since they can easily be updated instead of using a mod website. Any advice?

It's not his interenet I too have slow download speeds in game and on the mod hub site.

Try finding the mod somewhere other than where Giants host the file.

Whats your internet speed?

With mine 500 Mb will take just over a hour (it used to longer than that belive me), so if I have two 500 Mb maps thats just over two hours right? WRONG!. Its closer to four, for some reason.

I have ♥♥♥♥ internet mate, doesn't matter if I use the in-game hub, The Mod Hub or some other site. Differant method, Same result.

Location is a factor as well. You're probabley downloading from German or Switzerland, and if you're in Trumps Glorious Empire, Et voila, slow speed

I'm in the UK and I'm pretty sure I have to connect to the continent

yea its not internet. Guessing giants servers. I've got an 80mb line and in steam or torrents or general downloads i typically DL at 11mb/s.
More important thing to note is maybe i need to scrap some mods :P

25mbs down. Its on thier side throttling the bandwith I guess.

Having the same issue. Have 10mbit/s line and steam games download at 10mbit/s or 1,2MB/s and FS17 mods downloads at 1/10th of that speed at 1mbit/s or 0,1MB/s. Its Stupid!
