Seasons Mod Maps

Anyone know a list of maps that work well with Seasons Mod (seasonal map changes and similar things)? I would love to start a save with Seasons, but I wanna do it on a map that fully supports all of its features.

I have been following the Seasons mod WIP thread on FS-UK for several months. I think the only thing that needs to be done to maps is add a "snowmask" to the map to let seasons know where snow should and shouldn't fall. However, since it was only released today, I don't think there are any maps with this support yet.

I would not worry about starting a savegame now since the snowmask is not critical to seasons working it just means snow will fall inside sheds. Any update to a map to work with seasons should be compatible with existing savegames, so I would just start enjoying seasons now! (it is a fantastic mod).

Just to add, Seasons will automatically change the colour of tree leaves etc providing the map uses standard trees from Giants (which the majority of maps do) so there is no editing of the map required to change the colour of the leaves.

There is also talk that one of the mod contest maps Dusty Cove is also seasons ready.

Coldborough Park Farm was featured in the promo vid, and I know Simul8 uses Sandy Bay with seasons

They were but I haven't seen an update for either yet so I'm assuming BulletBill and OxygenDavid are still working on getting this done.

To get the full feel of the seasons mod you need to have map that has been prepared. At this time it doesn't look like a lot of maps have been prepared. It's really immersion breaking to me to see some vegetation change with the seasons and other ones stay the same.

I'm currently setting up a new YT mini series on Agri OC, so I'll let you know how the trees look in that

every map ive tried with the new seasons crashes game, turning it off and it loads map fine, anyone else know of any issues?

I don't have that issue, I've used three maps with seasons, incuding one older savegame...

It's been fine for me too. Have you had a look in your log? Can you think of any mods that may be conflicting with seasons (other mods that change the same things as seasons)?

Also, make sure you have got rid of any older versions of the incomplete seasons mod - I know I stumbled across an alpha on some site and played around with that a few months ago

ill take a look and see, ill turn off all mods and start new save, see if it works, then its just a slow process of one by one till i find conflict

update, i tried it alone with no other mods, crashed, i even uninstalled reshader i was using just in case, crashed, just wont work, odd.

Hmm that is strange, is the game updated on the latest patch?
