Steam Version or Giants Version?

I assume the Giants Version the price goes directly to the developers but can I use the multiplayer integration of steam for the standalone version by adding it to my steam library?

Multiplayer is handled by Giants not Steam. You can play multiplayer with the Giants edition without it being on Steam.

Buying from Giants you will have to manually download patches and upodates when they come out vs being automatic on Steam.

Except for that both versions are exactly the same.

Unfortunately, adding a non-Steam game to your library only allows you to launch the game from within the Steam client, nothing more. But, like the above post says, the multiplayer for both versions is handled outside of Steam.

I know sometime when the game are on steam too, you can registry your retail key on Steam too,

like this you have the game on the site where you have buy it and on Steam too, so you can download it from Steam or from the site of the compagny by example...,

i have some game i have registery on two site, because i don't love to have 56 password to try to remember, so, i have one i can play on Steam, or an another format i can put outside Steam for any reason if i prefer by example to make some programmation, or mods it's more easy, or bacause i have pay the game 75% less on the compagny they have made it than on Steam, but i prefer to have my game on Steam because of the automatic update, but i love having a backup too because of all the parasite on the world they try always to take your account everywhere,

but i know too it's don't work with the non Steam game, but Farming Simulator are a Steam game, i have no time to search if someone have alteady made it for this game but perharps they have info on this too on the main site of the game about this too.
