Seed Hawk Power Requirements
As it is the largest maching in-game in terms of working width (not counting sprayers) the Seed Hawk air drill is fittingly the most difficult to pull, requiring 640 horsepower. This is a benchmark that only 3 base game tractors can hit, the Challenger MT800E and MT900E (both at max engine horsepower of 646) and the Case Quadtrac (again at the highest engine setting, at 692 horsepower).

The problem is that all 3 of these tractors struggle a lot to pull the implement. On perfectly flat land, they can do it without a problem, but land like that is hard to find in most maps. On even the slightest incline, they are slowed to a crawl, 1-2 mph. They struggle so much that I'm beginning to think there is some sort of bug or setting that is wrong with the Seed Hawk. I think this because even with the implement raised, any sort of hill brings the tractor to a snail's pace, even when turning around at the end of the field. However, when the toolbar is folded for road transport, they can pull it just fine. You definitely feel the weight of it, but it isn't unmanageable.

It's looking like the Big Bud 747 is the only tractor that can reasonably pull it at the moment. While that is in keeping with the theme of the pack, the Seed Hawk is a production air drill, meant to be pulled by the likes of the Quadtracs and the Challengers and other tractors of similar sizes. It would be nice if Giants could make some adjustments to the tool so that it can be more reasonable pulled by production tractors for players who like to keep their farms reasonably close to real life.

It makes sense that the Challengers and Case have trouble with the seedhawk when in use. The Seedhawk requirment is 640 Hp the tractors have max of 646. That is a measly 6 hp over the requirement. You throw in a incline of any kind then you will be under the minimum due to the tractor needing more power to climb the hill.

The Seedhawk was meant to be used with the Big Bud 747.

There is another seeder that was added in game you can use with the other tractors and you have the new cultivators and plow as well that work fine with the Challengers and Case.

I'm aware that the Seed Hawk and Big Bud are meant to be used together, my point is that shouldn't be the only feasible option. The Seed Hawk is a production air drill, meant to be pulled by production tractors. The 747 is not a production tractor.

I'm not even saying that they shouldn't struggle. I'm just saying that the degree to which they struggle seems like a bit much and leads me to believe that the machine needs to be tweaked a bit. Even with the toolbar raised, an incline of a few degrees slows them down tremendously, and it shouldnt be that way. When the toolbar is folded, they handle fine. That's what leads me to believe that there is something wrong.
i agree with Nitro, There was only 1 or 2 BigBud 747's everbuilt. The Case 620 and the Challengers should be able to pull the seed hawk
NitroMachine take a look aat this tractor mod the last hp option is 700hp but i hvan't tried using it with any big bud machines yet so can't say it will work

I think you misunderstood my issue. I'm not looking for a more powerful tractor, I'm saying that there are tractors thta we already have that should be able to pull the Seed Hawk effectively that cannot. If I wanted a powerful tractor and didn't care about realism I'd just use the 747.
sorry i got what ur post said may bad on my end
For the first, every machine close to the power requirement minimum limits will struggle going uphill, thats no difference for in real. And you have to keep in mind that you still pull 34500 litres of seed/fertilizer in addition to the 25.6 metres wide planter unit itself behind you.

Giants does not read in here as far as i know but you can make a topic in here if you think that the speed is not right and should be improved:

and they will definatly read and react to your complains.

If you knew anything about farming, you would realize for just about any implement it typically takes about 12-15 hp per foot. That being said the seed hawk is approximately 84ft wide so it would take about 996hp - 1260hp. I really think people underestimate what something that size looks and pulls like. Giants got it right.

The Invisible Man v1.0 Quick fix for the BigBud DLC that tones down the actual power requirements for the Seedhawk AirDrill so a 500hp tractor can easily use it.

That's... not true. Just about any video you will find of a Seed Hawk or another drill of a similar size, they are being pulled by production tractors, usually Quadtracs or the John Deere equivalent, neither of which are over even 700 horsepower.
