Set up the gears, brakes and tire pressures.
You want to be near or at the rev limiter in final gear at the fastest part of the track.
You want to brake without locking up.
You want the tire temperatures to be roughly the same across all three areas of each tire. Tire pressure influences the middle bit; if the temperature is lower in the middle than on the sides, increase the pressure, and vice versa.

The rest of the setup options aren't that important at first. Learn the track, learn to, no way to say this nicely, drive better :D.

Thanks. I think I have a good grasp of that stuff, just trying to put it all together. I always made the mistake of going for the fastest, sexiest cars in games and not really learning to drive well. This game/sim makes me appreciate the underpowered cars and learning some energy management like a flight sim. They are a blast to drive and GT Legends is my favorite sim right now.

No I League raced with the LM55 cars in triple screen. Online problems usualy arise if you edit the files of the cars to gain advantages. Be sure to check No Grip racing for any info and tricks to make sure everytjing is smooth.

A couple of tips for Windows7. Install out of program files, something like C;\GT Legends or such. Run in Admin, Patch the executable with the 4GB patch. Ill check in from time to time to see if I can help resolve any propbems with track/car installations.

The 44 mile Targa Florio track NEEDS the 4GB patch to load the track. The 4GB patch helps the game access more memory. To use it download and patch the game executable.

Installing LM55 mods can be tricky. First you need a program like winzip, or 7zip to extract the files. I have a folder that I created on my desktop named game data. I extract Mods and tracks there. Once you have extracted the data there you need to move the said Mod to the game. You will need to locate the game install location and navigate to game data in the floder structure, then open teams. There you will see teams which har the car files. Creat a LM55 floder in this location. Open the game data folder on your desktop and find the folder with the car name and copy it into a newly created LM55 folder. Let me know if that works or you have any other problems.

Installed that LM-55 mod and the tracks from that link above from maseratialfa. The quality of that mod and tracks is so good you would think it came as part of the game. Great stuff.

Since you are liking the Vintage stuff so much I have to mention GTR2 which out on digital release here on Steam. Check out this stuff....Power&Glory3 Mod. This has the best physics I have ever experienced for this era.

Sorry if I encourage you to fill up more hard drive space but both of these Sims are great, For the price of GTR2, and Power and Glory mod its a no brainer.

Last week I bought Race 07 and the add-ons - GTR Evolution, Race On, WTCC 2010 pack. I'm sure I will add GTR2 at some point, but I better stick with these for now. Too much great racing and not enough time.

I am loving GT Legends right now, but I sneak a quick race in Race 07 on Brands Hatch once in a while. The Caterham's are a blast to drive in any game.

All these great racing games based on the old RFactor Engine.
You can use GTR2 cars, WTCC cars and so on in GTL.
Only thing to do is a little modification on the files for the cars you want to use in GTL.
It works with Tracks, too.
