You Also can enter ur cd version cd key in "activate a product" on steam, it works with gtr, gtr2 & gtl.
try both combinations of keys xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx or without the "-" between the code so xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.....got it ?
I think xxxxxxxxxxxxxx worked for me
Good Day.................
Not sure If that's completely true....I installed this ages ago on windows vista. The trick was to update the starforce protection (online) before rebooting the computer. If this was not done before the reboot then yes......your system was hosed.
However, the abitlitly to simply register your cd key giving you the steam version (same as disk version but without starforce) is wonderfull.
Cause they let me use my keys from my disks i decided to get a 2nd copy of all the simbin games............got it on the cheap too.................BEST OF ALL is that i can use the missing "license issues"game content from my cd's & add it to the steam version :)
Have fun ! :))
