Naglfar Fight?

Bit of a weird question: Am I missing something?
I got a decently equipped Manta, but whenever I come close to the Naglfar, its two smaller protection ships (look similar to mine) destroy me before I can even really do anything. Mostly I'm dead before I can fire 6 torpedos...

Any tips / ideas?

And another question: how does the weapon system work? Can I buy 4 torpedo tubes? And why can I only use one of my many guns even though I have multiple people on that station and it says: weapon slots 4? And if I buy a fancer torpedo (Krakatoa), do I need new ammo?

Depending on your ship, guns can only fire at certain angles. The Icer ships for example can only fire all its guns directly ahead.

You can tell which guns are able to fire with the reticle. Around it are dots that indicate its current status.

Green: Gun can fire at that angle.
Red: Gun cannot fire at that angle.
Yellow: That gun will be the next one to fire.

Also, if you haven't done so, make sure you are constantly pinging your sonar, so torpedo locks are better. Also, the little dots connected to an enemy ship after a radar ping is generally where you should shoot your guns.

And no, torpedo's are universal so switch away.

The weapon number shows the number of turrets, so the more you have the higher the volume of fire you can put down on your enemy. The manta fires everything when facing forward. Press "I" to change which weapon you're using.

I tried to fight the Naglfar. Shot one of the big turrets off, then something else on the hull, and the whole thing just vanished. Very odd.

Also try changing direction / depth as much as possible to avoid being shot. Sometimes it's unavoidable, so have a couple of armour upgrades and as many crew as you can spare in the crew quarters repairing.
Using the engine boost is useful for getting away from shots fired at you too.

I had a different question. I got the quest to infiltrate the Naglfar, all well and good. I destroy the escorts, dock and can progress along that quest fine.

However, Kuberi lady *seems* like she has a quest, Jay asks for a lotus, she says she wants the Naglfar disabled, but I dont get a quest for it. I tried it anyway, and destroyed all weapons and hard points on the Naglefar, except the main one. No Kuberi showed up, so I hit the last point and the whole Naglefar just kinda blew up in a small burp of an explosion and disappeared. No wreck, no remains or anything.

No one mentioned it either.

So I guess my main question is: the whole lotus and Kuberi/Naglfar thing, is it something I officially start later, or is it just a forgotten/unfinished questline for now?

That's the exact same issue I'm having.

Having a similar issue with missing crew, that the quest just isn't completing / progressing.
