Where to find DLC Submarines

Hey there guys,

We just wanted to clarify where everyone can find their shiny new submarines. DLC ships won't appear in the sub selection when starting a new game, but don't fret; that's intentional. They will appear in the list of any shipyard, the first of which is the Tonnesburg Engineer's Guild.

This is true for all DLC ships, so it includes Pre-Order/Fleet Edition/Kickstarter submarines.

You do, as soon as the quest finishes, you get access to the DLC ships and they're honestly quite good.

Question about the DLC ships, how do you upgrade them? Also, do they recieve a visual upgrade like the base ships when they're upgraded? (Big fan of the old Uboat manta btw!)

I honestly wouldn't want to pilot the Kickstarter sub based off my experience with the Manta, docking that thing can be a bit of hit & miss. Especially if your trying to dock with crippled ships....

Just found that if you venture west out from hassley, there is a place where you can swap out your sub. You have to pay some money first to turn it into your base. I am loving this game!

But can you upgrade the DLC subs? It would be kind of a waste if you can't, because upgrading to a depth of 500, and the dlc subs only start at 200, but you can't access them until after finishing the upgrade quest, seems a little pointless?

I own the Manta and while you can't upgrade it like regular subs, it upgraded its crush-depth when I made it to the abyss - however it doesn't go as deep as the others once upgraded to level 3. Not sure if this is intentional or not.

I got Manta through Fleet version 1.16.2
When finishing upgrade ship mission to see the guy, I can't help to swap my ship to Manta immediately BEFORE I turn in the upgrade mission to the old ship.
Then I made an 2nd mistake to use Manta by clicking the upgrade button of my the other ship. Then it is a BUG that the other ship is GONE ( the SWAP option turned grey, upgrade option is there but nothing ), I can't finish the mission of upgrading ship... then it get stocked. I can't go futher and all required materials are there.
No save slot to reload previous status.............
SO 5 hrs play is gone......
I will have to replay or give up this game............

Strongly suggest to add SAVE options in order to go back for anything goes wrong.....
JUST FYI.
Manta is good and is it worth to get salty and choked without enough air for another 5hrs?.....a bit disappointed.

Hi, i just bought the Manta, but i cant swap to this ship. I bought it after i started a game. Then after i bought the DLC i realised i had to unlock the ship through the quest. But it's still not available. Also already build my own homebase but here too i cant swap ships. THe buttons remains gray. Any help?

I'm having the same issue. Perhaps you need to start a new game in order to use a recently purchased DLC sub.

OK just did that. Started a new game. Finished the quest and upgraded my sub to lvl2. also build my personal base after that but still can't switch to DLC sub :( looks like the game is not recognizing my DLC purchase, but its installed in steam. I'm running the Mac client.

OK now i just bought a new glacier lvl1 ship additionaly to my lvl2 dweller ship. now i can acces the swap menu fine, but like i guessed i can only swith between these two ships. so in fact the game isnt recognizing my DLC for some reason.
