Bug Report & Technical Support Thread
Please use this thread for reporting issues with the game.

The issue detailed below should be resolved with a recent update to steamworks settings (Jan 3, 2017) - The old post will be left here as a reference.

Skeet Patch 2.0 brought Oculus Rift support which has caused some users issues launching Skeet properly. Currently we auto-detect which headset is connected to your computer and launch into Steam VR or Oculus Rift mode accordingly. Because of this we have changed the default launch option for Skeet to a standard PC app, which appears to have removed Skeet from the VR section of your games library (additionally the Steam VR library browser). This will hopefully be resolved soon.

For now, you should be able to launch Skeet directly from Steam without issue, but if you think the game isn't recognizing your headset properly you can manually force Skeet into Oculus or Steam VR mode using the following launch options:
-OpenVR
-Oculus

As far as we know, this is the only issue with the game. If you find any bugs or launching still fails after trying the above, please reply below with more details.

was there a reason skeet uninstalled itself? it removed itself from my library and hard drive without me doing anything

We made a change recently that causes Skeet to show up under the VR section of your steam library. It should still be installed, just under a different category of games now.

Vrserver.exe is taking too long too load.
Tried both modes, DK2 here

Use to work perfectly fine. Put it's now like the windows pops up for skeet and closes, followed by that error in the oculus HMD

I do not know if this qualifies as a bug oder is intentional.

The projectiles of the toomy gun have a *very* ballistic flight path, they fly more like water out of a garden hose.

Besides that, no problems, great update, would love more speed/quickdraw game modes.

Does this error happen in your headset for both modes? Are you using a DK2 + 2 touch controllers through the proprietary Oculus software?

Visual bullets shot by the tommygun have no effect on hit registration - the gun is hitscan just like all 3 shotguns. There could still be a bug with how the visual bullet travels though, thanks for your feedback!

Nice app. On my Rift I had to set it to Windows 7 compatibility to stop it starting with me in the ground.

Also, when I start it, the practice targets are in front of me, but all the gameplay happens behind me, so I always have the cable in the way. I tried resetting the view, but to no avail.

Are you using a rift CV1 or DK2? We have heard some reports lately of issues with the DK2, however we haven't been able to reproduce any of the bugs in the CV1.

Also, are you launching in Oculus Rift mode or Steam VR mode?

CV1. If I launch in Oculus mode it launches on the desktop, but nothing happens in the headset. It works in SteamVR mode, but with the 180 degree rotation I mentioned.

I haven't been able to reproduce this bug. Are you sure your Oculus settings allow 3rd party applications to run?

Yes, if I hadn't I wouldn't be able to run Steam games like yours.

Hi FriendCalledFive,

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been unable to reproduce this bug, and other users have run Skeet without issue on the Oculus Rift in Oculus mode. We are very close to having an official oculus store release for Skeet, so perhaps that will resolve your issue.

No, and this is a bug reporting thread.

I'm having an issue with the game using an Oculus Rift and Touch. My head is in the floor, and the Touch controllers aren't showing up. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
