I love the Portal games, and Portal Stories: Mel was incredible. When I got a VR headset I was excited to try this game out, but unfortunately it's not really like Portal at all. It uses the same world, but there are no portals. The puzzles are extremely basic and not challenging or fun. It's also very short, and definitely falls into the tech demo category of VR.

It's free so I shouldn't be too hard on this, but, if you're a portal fan, it's definitely underwhelming. Too easy, no portal... it's more like a tech demo than a real VR game.

This game seems like a lot of fun, but unfortunately, this mod isn't well designed for oculus headsets. For some reason, my located to where my head clips under the floor, and I don't know how to resolve it. It seems to me that this has only been a problem for oculus users. Until the devs fix this problem, I'm leaving my review a negative.

I don't like the teleporting Idea and no portals in a portal game? Also, it was way too short.

Couldn't start the game from SteamVR. Every time I got a fatal error

This was pretty good but i personally have 1 large problem with it. No portals, c'mon it's portal i wanted to use vr portals but this doesn't offer that. besides that it was funny and had good tests would have preferred normal movement but the teleportation movement is used for the puzzles so it makes up for it. I can't recommend it though because again "no portals"

got stuck in floor couldnt even play

All of the puzzles in this are mindnumbingly simple and boring. Contrary to the name, no portals are actually seen in this game. You simply move boxes around over and over again. The entire game took me ~20 minutes, of which only 10 had actual gameplay. The opening tutorial/calibration dialog is 5 minutes long and for beating the entire thing you get the elevator opening sequence from Portal Stories: Mel in VR, which is another 5 minutes spent standing around. It's kind of a cool reward, but I would have preferred anything with some interactivity.
At least the game is free and the environments look cool. Seeing the portal environments in VR is nice, but this should have been just a walking simulator if the puzzles were going to be so low effort.
