Game won't start in vr
My index keeps saying "Up next.. Portal Stories: VR" and I can hear the audio. The game never loads up in the index but the desktop monitor shows some rendering and part of the menu (only shows the bottom of the "Quit" button). The monitor rendering does not move at all.

I tried restarting steamvr and tried plugging the index out and in again from my computer.
Am I missing something?

I'm having the same problem. It just hangs there like it's loading, but never starts.

Same problem on Quest 2 using Steam Link.
I don't even get the error it just hangs.

I'm sure there are loads of people out there who would just love to play this.

after some digging it apears to be a minimum specs kinda problem, which adds up with my old pc(GTX 1060, i5 4440)

My computer definitely meets the minimum specs. Ryzen 7 5800x, nvme m.2 drives all around, rtx 3080, proper fast XMP ram (can't remember the speed, but it matches the infinity fabric clock speed of the cpu).

Of course, minimum specs could also be a source of problems.

Has anyone been able to fix this? Trying to use Steam Link on my Quest 2.

so for me, installing the oculus software on my pc, and turning on airlink made the game work. I did launch it through airlink rather than steam (no idea which part of all these things made it work but it did)

game is buggy and disappointing though. The game launched with the floor at head level, so I restarted the game with my headset on the floor which got around that problem.

So i have an occulus rift S. I originally got the game to work as intended by doing the win 7 compatibility thing. but then i hated how you had to physically turn in game, twisting up my cable hard. So i found out you can use OVR advance settings. When i installed them i was out of VR and in the floor. Seems what i did was uninstall and reinstall the game. I took off the win 7 compatibility and ran it, only to be in the floor, closed game. Noticed steam VR wasnt running so got that going with a restart. Got OVR advance settings working in steam VR mode. Got my left menu button to work by removing long press from some option. But while running VR, i re did the compatibility mode, and it works in VR, but no luck with getting controllers to help me turn. So far anyhow.
Hope this silly convoluted process helps someone else out.
