THats what I was wondering, not having bought it yet. WIth xbox kinect it tries to see what your feet are doing too, but it looks like you can just wave your arm rather than dance on this. Is that right?

my brother has just dance 2016 on his wii u
we put the camera away so it does not see us
i just moved my hand with that wii thingy and it still counted as ''perfect''

SUre, but theres so many cameras out there, on computers, and phones, that surely they could do something like the kinect easily

I was going to pick this up for my Niece but the shortcuts used have put me off. Most of us possess HD quality webcams that rival Kinnect so it's a strange design choice to use an app "to detect motion".

Kinect is not just any regular webcam. It has distance sensor, which used to roughly reconstruct scene in front of Kinect. Thats why they can't use your laptops webcam. And yes, Kinect tracks your legs and left hand too. But SOME (not any!) leg movements can be skipped on Kinect without points loss, that's true

Dance Central please. This stuff is too brain-dead easy to get a perfect score being that you can just stand/sit there and move your arm only. Some of us like the competitive aspect and knowing we are performing the moves correctly.
