Similarly, the Irregulars are the only chance you get to act like a human being to the common man instead of a jumped up jackass. I mean you can't even truly get over it with Caz. Even if you're the kind of person that would go to bat for women's liberation, you don't get to offer the idea that noble blood doesn't actually make someone a better leader.
It would be nice if you could more precisely control who dies in 10B basically.
It is more satisfying by far to go to the battle since that feels like a more natural culmination of the arc from the first game, but it makes you less money and the people who die doing the castle raid are people that we haven't even met yet. So mechanically 10A seems better.
Lords of Infinity is going to have a hell of a time writing a game that offers compelling choices to the guy that has 8k+ gold in the bank and has paid off his family's debt, while not inflicting a crippling burden on the dude that can barely muster 1k with 16k in debt to deal with.
How did you manage to pay off the family debt in Guns? And how did you make so much money? I sent back all wages at the first letter, then after promotion I wasn't given a choice to sent more at the second letter, because this promotion somehow didn't have a raise in wage, even though I have spare gold, apparently I can only send back wages. This way I end up with 16K debt and having to pay 1900+ interest when I get back home.
He's talking about the huge amount of money you get from captureing the princess. It put me well over 10,000 gold I believe. Theres a tradeoff however, you lose almost 2/3 of you men, and I think your reputation tanks as well. Thats why I like the big battle more than the secret mission.

I'll have to try that, thanks for the info.
