The game crashes after the first screen when pressing a button

The game is crashing at the first screen after pressing A or enter, I see the establishing connection to servers screen for a second and then the game crashes to desktop. The game has only recently been brought and has never run before.

I tried emailing the support team with my log file but the email address in the pinned FAQ bounces back as undelivered.

Same here. I don't knwo why and I have no clue where the logs are stored. Would be great if I could find them to know what needs to be troubleshooted.

sideburnt - the only thing that worked for me was turning off my ethernet (no internet) Seems to be the actual server connection attempt itself that is crashing it. At least I can use single player again.
