Smuggling tips?
My current idea is to buy cigarettes in Dresden, and smuggle them over the border. As illegal goods are confiscated by border patrol when they search your bonnet, how do you smuggle? The only idea I have is to carry the items in my lap - will that work?

I think its abit of a "soon to be added"type thing, i for one cant think of any way to smuggle

Also i found some coffee across the boarder (where it was considered contiband) but it was completly worthless
Only smuggle stuff that's legal. I recommend buying expensive items at a discount, then selling them across the border, or restart if it is banned or on discount in the next store.
I think if you find like coffee in the CFSR (or something like that) and try to sell it back in germany it is worthless.

Also take note of what is illigal contraband when you're going to cross the border, a huge sign up front says what is legal and what is not. I think only cigarettes are illegal (not sure if that is random?)
alot of places bann cigirates and wine and at the border most of the time they do not check your trunk wine should sell for 60-66 marks and cigrates should sell for 20-30 marks

Yes, what is banned and what is not is completely random from journey to journey. The car searches are also at random, usually happening every fourth to sixth crossing, I have found.

yust take the items out of your trunk and roofrack
During one trip, I noticed "Stoff" was banned in CSFR so I bought as much as I could in Dresden and kept it up front with me & Uncle. Got it over the boarder and sold it at the first petrol station for not a whole lot of profit. Didn't seem worth the trouble.
I wonder if a dirty car increases the chance of being checked for contraband at the border. Would be cool if the appearance of the car would affect this.

1 Buy lots of illegal items
2 Go to border
3 Leave items in parking lot before border
4 Cross border
5 Park car
6 Walk back and get the items, put them in the trunk
7 Drive away

I tried it, and i works.
It can be kind of tiresome with things like yarn (AKA stoff), so I only really do it on things like cigarettes, medicine, and wine

Hope this helps!

It's usually worthless but has a chance to be worth a lot of money
if you have a roof rack then put the prohibited stuff on it. once alcohol was banned, so i put it on the roof rack and the guard DID A CHECK and he only looked in the trunk.

PS. he is so dumb
put it infront of the car,on the bonnet or whatever its called
the guard will see nothing,so you can continue driving on borders with illegal goods
I sucessfully smuggled coffee into a country where it was banned, but when I went to sell it the price was terrible. They were even selling the banned coffee at the gas station. I'm thinking the banned goods are a game mechanic for the border crossings, but they don't seem to affect prices in that country.
Put it the storage on the top part of the car
