CO-OP PLAY?
Hi Devs, Is it possible to play Co-Op mode in the future??? I think people want to share the road experaince with a friend..! Not with "The Uncle", I guess... Sorry :) He is really annoying..! Whatever, if you will do this, that will be pretty cool..! For instance, I shared my screen with my friend today to show the gameplay, his first question is for the co-op or multiplayer playing? He wanted to join the trip. I think some people think similar... Maybe you will say "NO" about mplay or co-op because of the secondary player won't be able to drive and just sit near but it is a survival game! It should be our problem to choose the driver and we can figure it out... :) It is very different and beautiful survival game!!! Probably people want to share this experiance with friends! I don't know what you are thinking for the future but you guys should give a chance for co-op to your players! Please think about this! Thanks... In addition, I saw four bugs today, 1- Inventory (baggage) items are disappearing sometimes and then I can't put another item. 2- In the city, petrol station door does not work properly. 3- Again in the petrol station, I sold some items then, the money taken from the girl was infinite. 4- When I put omething on the road, it is disapperaing. One more thing, please more inner and outer accessories :)) Maybe paintjob, or else... Thanks again... Keep up the good work! That's a great game!!! :))

Co-Op Play is a very hard thing to implement, There will be no Co-Op Mode ever, Unless if a mod comes out for it.

While it is a hard mechanic to add, you have no right to simply state that it will never be implemented. That is falsified information and should be taken with a grain of salt.

What if you can travel with more people, but they get tired, they want to eat and drink. Maybe you could add hitch-hikers who can give you money or stole all of your money. These are my suggestions, but sure that's a good game and game-making is very hard!

(looking forward to this :D dont have the game but i wanna get it)

Why not just add more cars for everyone to drive in...? so if there are 2 people, there are two cars at the start, and no uncle or tutorial. ur not going to jump right into multiplayer anyway, people want to learn the grips first in single player. (stocks will be already added)

Im certain LAN could be first. its much easier, you can use Log Me In Hamachi to play with friends, while the dev doesnt need much work, because servers are not required. you have to host the server, so YOUR computer is the server.

Anyway, Co-op might be harder. from what ive heard you have to run them through steam servers or make your own server, which can be very expensive for a small developer. so anyway, i think LAN will come in much sooner than Co-op itself.

maybe setting for:
-personal wallet/shared wallet
-(max the the amount of people) car(s)
-shared engine (can be modified separately)(one car gets hit in the carborator, the other car takes same damage to carborater,if you change a carborator on one car, the other car gets the carborater, take carborater, the other car looses the carborator, fix a carborator, other car gets fixed, each car drains from one pool)
-Fuel drain(all cars drain the equvalent of 1 car, or every car takes the same pool at whatever the amount of cars are)

Yeah thats what i was thinking
Cayden 2016 年 4 月 27 日 下午 2:45
it looks like you got it all figured out LOL

The shared engine doesn't the best idea, but from the business side you could sell or buy items on the steam market. And if i know well the game developers get some money from that. I think that's something that worth to think on it.

That would be cool, some Eastern-bloc NASCAR or something, or some old-school arcade "Outrun" games!

By the way, aren't they working at Unity? Unity can make it easier. It's good tool! I know, it may be hard to implement Co-Op playing to the game after design it but possible. It is similar like try to connect two skyscrapers with a bridge after construction but it is possible if the design is enough to support. Also, my question is just playing with a friend. I am not talking about MMO or something. That will be pretty cool to replace the "Uncle" with my friend :)

The problem with implementing Co-Op is that the game references the player specifically for interactions. To implement multpilayer would require a core rewrite of the way the game is built, which is going to add another year to the development road-map, which is just not viable. This is before taking into consideration I've never worked with netcode, or a multiplayer game design before. Just look at the issues the Division is having, and that's a huge team with a massive budget.

I don't think you can call Division into this. Division is an mmo with massive servers. We are talking about one extra guy on a lan server. Completely different, almost nothing alike code wise except that both check the current location of each player. I could get into more detail on the differences but I'd rather not write an essay, and I don't think you would be overly interested.

Understood. Would you consider it for post-release or closer to release? You also could hire someone to help you work on it if that's the case. Just a suggestion!

Yep, the help is a good idea. Unfortunately I didn't see a really good modern game without some kind of multiplayer or co-op. People like to play with each other. But if you can't I hope that Jalopy is an exception. And what about Hungary?
Ec.Co. 2016 年 4 月 29 日 下午 2:39
Yeah, my question is excatly about one more player and share this trip with a friend. I am not talking about Natural Selection or something, just playing with one more person.
