Is this game any smilliar to My summer car ?

Ok so first things first , i love games where i can build cars and engines

automation , car mechanic sim and a few others over the years have controlled that itch somewaht

but My Summer Car is the first game of its type i think that managed to be what i expected these kinda games to be , granted seemingly placeholder art and environments are of a very low quality , as expected of a single dev.

Now i want to ask players of this game , is this in any way simillar to my summer car ?

i am really on the fence , the only major annoyance i have with it is the graphics and art direction style of low poly / smoothgroup free models .

This game lets you put in one-piece engine, carburetor, air filter, ignition coil, battery, fuel tank, and water tank, put in the wheels and bolt them in, then have the roadtrip of your life with them while short of fund and try to stay afloat and keep the car running. It might not satisfy a guru mechanic but it sure is more involved than most. As it stands, this game is probably the one and only roadtrip sim out there, and much of the graphic is simplistic as a style choice.

My Summer Car is pretty unique in its genre too.

Broadly, no. MSC is a build-your-own-car sim. Jalopy is a road trip game with some vehicle maintenance and upgrade mechanics.

The only three things they have in common are cars, European setting, and that they entered the public consciousness at similar times, though I believe Jalopy has been available for purchase for significantly longer than MSC.

I'd say that this game is more of Euro Truck Simulator, the game is more focused on the journey than the mechanics (although the mechanical aspect still has importance and relevance).
