If you take out th lug nuts but leave them on the car then you can use a repair kit or a spanner to repair them, with the gold spanner aka infinite toolbox, you save alot of money on tires.
I have no problem with using it, I love it. I'm just concerned that in a game where the whole thing is keeping your car running, an infinite toolbox might not be in the game very long.
I can drive where I want. The repairing tools which can be used 3 times was annoing. I has to take 3-4 rep. kits into trunk/roof rack to go anywhere.
Gold Spanner and is very usefull when You want to make some money.
I can't just repair a punctured tire. The condition was 3/3 but the tire was flat.
Only new wheels can repair that.
but you still have to stop and repair them.
so the aspect of having to stop in the middle of nowhere, to perform vehicle maintenance, is still there.
yeah, the thing is, with shops and toolkits not necessarily being available, is that that's a potential end-game scenario. The infinite spanners allow you to keep going, but you still have to stop every so often to fix your car up. I think a bronze spanner should be available at Uncle's garage or something though. So even if you can't find a toolkit, you can "return home" and be able to fix your car up to minimal condition at least, in order to try again another day.
I'd suggest a different thing to handle tyres though. Which would be limited-use "puncture repair kits", and tyres not being repairable by toolkits or spanners. Tyre gets to 0 condition and bursts, you can repair it to 1 condition with a puncture repair kit. But, those would be a limited use item, because you can only carry so much glue & rubber patches. So you'd have to buy new tyres every so often, or carry a lot of puncture repair kits.
