No money for motel, can't progress? WTF!?

I got to the city and had no money for the motel. I couldn't progress unless I bought a room. And time wouldn't pass unless I bought a room. So I can't do anything now?

WTF? Why couldn't I just wait out the night, or sleep in my car? That's just stupid.

Unfortunately, if you go bankrupt, use your map book, select "Drive Home" or simply hit escape and select "Return home". You and your car will return to your Uncles garage. Better luck on your next road trip! :)

Go back, drive around and look for boxes on the road. You can sometimes be lucky and find a box of ammo or expensive items that sell for 29E each, which is why I keep the box in my trunk at all times in the event I go broke buying parts.

I was about to mention about knocking on guests doors. If you're low on cash for a room it's guaranteed one of the guest will slip their money under the door saying they are staying another night. Then get your room. That's why you need to check the newspaper on the table too and see what you may be hauling in your car's storage is coming contraband (don't want to go across border with it) and check shops to sell items you find from boxes on the side of the street. If it's contraband, say a brand of wine is, the store may pay extra for it if they don't have any.

It's a fun relaxing though indeed bugged game. But it's about exploring too, try things out, take your time, enjoy the scenery.
