What is SimBin Doing?
Why the high price and where's my GTR2 and GTLegends?

I'm hoping they let us use our CD Keys. It would be really nice to be able to install and not have to hunt for patches.

GTLegends has been availible in a digital form and as a free update to people running win 7 and unable to get there old disc version working for over 1 year on the RaceRoom site and shop

as for GTR² i still believe there are any licensing issues that would need to be overcome

You can actually get GTR2 and GTL for free here[www.computerbild.de] and here.[www.computerbild.de] It's legit. Maybe in the future they will allow us to reedem boxed cd keys on steam.

Is still have my boxed GTR, GTR2 and GTLegends. Played this game every day online. Bought GTR2 for the new cars, but my online key wasn't correct, so I reverted back to GTR1. I even modded (I.E photoshopped the skin) a lot of real life skins into the game at the age of 14. I want to be able to redeem my keys!

Seems like a reasonable price to me but I'll personally wait for one of the big Steam sales to pick it up just have it in my Steam library, even Doom and Doom 2 are selling for $9.99 still.

I really doubt you'll be able to redeem old retail keys, there's a pretty small list of games that allow it to work that way on Steam: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

Don`t be stupid, this is not steamworks game, if its released on steam doesn`t mean that old retail keys will work.

Wanted to see if it did. The algorithm for the serial key could of been copied and used for the Steam edition. I see no reason why original codes can't be used. Was only checking, and letting people know that it didn't work. Would be nice if they got that working.

You have to get the disk from a 'friend'.

Bottom line I think SimBin has seen some tough times financially lately and doing what they feel they need to do to keep funds coming in. If you feel GTR is a little high priced just download free simbin games Volvo the game RR1 RR2 RRRE and Real - Time Racing and you will feel real good about the deal you got on this classic title.

I have supported them by buying ALL their titles @ full price, i think that is enuff support on my end.
If they want me to buy my cd/dvd's in digital format they could surely give me a discount if i already own it. 5$ is more then a fair price for getting a digital version if you already have the disks.
