Windows 8 pro

None of that simbin mega bundle games seemed to work with windows 8 pro 64-bit.. only black screen after i choose any of those.. gtr, gtr2, race 07, and race injection, can't get any of those to work?? Any ideas?

Got it to work, needed to re-install vcredist_86.exe from install directory and reboot computer.

Hi, there, Makkarasoppa, how did you reinstall vcredist_86.exe, and from where? I'm having a few issues with a lot of the Simbin games running as desired on Windows 8.

Mind how you unistall/mix drivers.

Its a cow if they get twisted.

I also use Ccleaner (for registry) if I swop graphic card types.

i will be doing a "clean" instal...........using nvidia 1st, then uninstal N use my old old ati 1900xtx just to see how that goes.
my last 3 vid cards have been nvidia...8800gt....285gtx & now 970gtx.
wish ati made some cards i would want, 290x was pretty good but not good enuff for me.
maybe 300x will be more y liking......i don't care for either brand, i just want bang for buck.

yea, the ati 9700/9800 were tops back then, then the 1900/1950 before ati sold to AMD........
ati/amd keep trying N make good cards, but when ATI does a great card, they also always are very HOT.
i just grabed 2 msi golden ed 970's, so not in a rush for a new card(s) till prolly end of 2016/ early 2017.
get whats best is all i can say N old TOP end cards still beat low end new cards....example....my gtx 285 handles games better then lets say a new 640/50/60 gtx or even a 750/60 gtx.......anyhow, i don't trough my stash out cause it's old, stuff breaks down so u need a temp bckup.......
i love AMD, but amd hasn't had anything i am interested in since mid 2000's.
i am not a fan of intel, but my current intel 4790k runs well with a stock cooler, can't do that well with stock amd coolerws, u need a after market cooler.
good day........i want a AIO water cooling but can live without it till the weather gets hot.
