We'll have to do some additional investigation, but it seems like the issue you described might be related to the engine we used.
Could you try running the game with the "-force-glcore" options and see if that helps at all? You can do this by:
1. Right click Wizard of Legend on Steam
2. Click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS" on the GENERAL tab
3. Type in "-force-glcore" and click OK.
We've heard that this resolved the issue for other players in the past and hope that it works out for you!
You can click on Wizard of Legend in the library -> More -> Settings
Check the "Add command line arguements" option and enter "-force-glcore" in the text box
Please let us know if that resolves you issues
I also have a 144hz monitor (an ultrawide at 3440x1440 in fact, if that matters, though the game caps out at 1920x1080), and adding -force-glcore to my launch shortcut did the trick.
