Extremely bad FPS with 144hz monitor?
Running an ultrawide 144hz gsync monitor and getting enormously bad FPS. Watched my GPU/CPU utilization and both are quite low. What gives? Anyone getting the same?

GTX 1070, i5-6600k

Could you try running the game with the "-force-glcore" options and see if that helps at all? You can do this by:

1. Right click Wizard of Legend on Steam
2. Click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS" on the GENERAL tab
3. Type in "-force-glcore" and click OK.

We've heard that this resolved the issue for other players in the past and hope that it works out for you!

I have the GOG version of the game, how do I use those modes with that?

Hey Yoshi,

You can click on Wizard of Legend in the library -> More -> Settings
Check the "Add command line arguements" option and enter "-force-glcore" in the text box

Please let us know if that resolves you issues

Hah, I *thought* something felt wrong with the framerate and controls. Glad I found a fix.

I also have a 144hz monitor (an ultrawide at 3440x1440 in fact, if that matters, though the game caps out at 1920x1080), and adding -force-glcore to my launch shortcut did the trick.

The framerate was mega for me, until I got to the second level where the game dropped to a consistent yet low frame rate. Should I try the same thing?

I am having the same issue, the fix seems to have worked so far. You guys should pin this in known issues. Thanks for the help and great game so far guys.
