And to make it a lot better there will be controller support so you may play with M+K and your mate with another device. Yeah, good stuff.
We'd love to do online co-op, but it's a bit of a risk for such a small developer like us. If the game does well or if the upcoming Kickstarter brings in enough funds, there's a good likely-hood of us adding the feature in. For now though, we're just a 2 person studio and don't want to promise too much so that we can get the game out into people's hands. Hope that makes sense and if you have any other questions, please let us know!
THanks for the info
Just saw this thread after a story in PC Gamer. With respect, I think it's a much bigger risk for you *not* to do online coop. That's a huge selling feature. I know that I'll buy the game if it has this, but will take a pass if it does not. Good luck.
What?
Is that just a clever way of saying the team lacks the programming know how to do it? No fault if thats the case. However, online co-op will add nothing but more money in your pockets if you add it. If the team knows how to do it, not doing seems like its a bigger risk, as it will cost you a lot of potential sales.
For me, a co-op game without online co-op = 100% No Buy. I have no desire to play it solo, and being a PC gamer, anyone and everyone I play with is online, not sitting next to me at my desk.
To anyone interested in online coop, feel free to try Parsec Gaming:

I just did Wulverblade and Tesla vs Lovecraft sessions with a friend, and he played normally with no delay at all. Both of those games are also local coop only.
I think a 5Mbp upload is required for smooth gameplay for the host, though. If you meet the criteria, I'd recommend you guys trying out a local game you own first. If you're happy with the result, one of you can buy the game (once its released, of course) and both play.
