All 5 elements are in: What is now the Best/Worst element?
When the game launched, the only 3 bosses were Flame Empress Zeal, Earth Lord Atlas, and Frost Queen Freyja. A simplistic view of the relative strength of the elements would suggest that Earth and Fire were weaker than the other three since neither element did bonus damage to any of the existing bosses or their respective zones. Earth did so-so against Fire and Water, but not against Earth. Fire did so-so against Earth, but poorly against Fire and Water. The other Elements had one weak stage, one strong stage, and one so-so stage.

After the Air Palace update, Fire got an indirect buff since it was strong against Air. Air and Earth arcana got nerfed for the same reason. Overall, Lightning and Water were still sitting pretty at the top.

Now the Thunder dome (or whatever the lightning zone is called) has been released, indirectly nerfing both water and lightning arcana and buffing earth arcana. All arcana are now have an equal chance at encountering a zone where they have bonus damage, or a zone where they have handicapped damage.

In light of this, which elements stand out as the best and which the worst?
In my opinion, Air arcana have consistently stood out as stronger than others for their high control, decent mobility, and frequent application of critical strikes. I would probably rank Lightning as a close second for similar reasons. They usually have more crit chance, more direct damage, and good control.

At the bottom, I have to rank Fire and Earth. Fire has some of the highest damage with good application of critical hits, but its low control make it very risky. It does have decent mobility, so those who can abuse this in unison with it's high damage can probably make it look broken.

Earth has a similar problem except it has decent control but low speed. While they have very satisfying effects, it often appears that the damage numbers don't get high enough to make up for the slow startups, short range, and small AoEs. They are often more difficult to aim than similar Arcanas of different elements, or put the player in harms way in order to maximize their effects.

How do you rank the elements? Am I completely backwards? Which arcana combos should I use to show me the errors of my ways?

Wind and fire are probably the best, earth is probably the worst. Water and lightning are average.

I use earth the least, but not sure if that makes it the worst (perhaps the most unexciting). I find Water (particularly Ice) as a main element to be awesome because of how much damage you can rack up with relic multipliers. Also has the best dashes of the five. I think Wind and Fire have certain spells that are extremely good (making them good for dipping) and others that are pretty average or weak. Lightning feels like it should be good, but again only a few spells are ever worth considering.

TBH Earth is insanely OP if you use it correctly. Use Earth Knuckles with the fire buff and go for max crit and damage. I used this build and beat Mega Sura in 1 phase without even dodging, just by punching him to death.

Lightning Objectively is the best due to shock. PVE & PVP.
