Is master Sura stupid or am I missing somthing?

I am going to assume I am missing somthing. Started the game yesterday so I suppose my information is some what limited so im probably missiing somthing. But I have gotten to Master sura mutliple times now and its jsut ridiculas. Each other enemy in the game thus far has a shtick that once learned can be used to avoid their attacks, counter attack, etc. This makes the game fairly fair I feel. Except for sura so far. He moves so rapidly and has so many attakcs covering the screen that there is no way i can keep up with it all, dodge, and attack. And that is assuming I can even move since he will stun lock me in some earth rending combo. Did I miss somthing? Or do i just keep grinding until my abilitys become strong enough to quarter shot him?

hes not too bad on his first phase when he has the shield you have to break his shield inbetween attacks to stun him and kill it then on his second phase he uses i think 4 arcana then one of the other bosses moves then his chaos signature then hes open for stun hes actually the second easiest concil member for me

Yeah I can do his first phase with out ever getting hit. And huh either im to busy dodging and not paying attention or his animation for his vunilabbiltiy stage must be short or subdued. Either way I will keep a look out for it my next time through. Thanks for the deets.

after he does the big ol chaos attack thats his stun window he just dahses twice during the stun window so you want some sort of ranged or dash type spell to hit him during the stun window then he becomes stunned and stops dashing

He uses 5 arcana (for each element) and 1 chaos move before dashing twice. But yeah, his vulnerability frame is short so hitting him while he's dashing is your best opportunity, so far from my experience. If you waste time dashing after him he'll just recover as soon as you get to him. Maybe some spell that has a large radius could help stun him while you're neaby but not exactly close to deliver a hit, like Shock Nova/Terra Ring.

Or one of those smashing/jumping moves. Enhanced Binary Splash has quite a large reach, provided you jump to the right place.

Sura is pretty much a PvP fight. I personally like it and think it's very well done, it's extremely nervous, you can't just follow a plan like with other bosses, everything goes too quickly, you just have to be a better mage than him.

he definetly does the one of the other bosses moves thing and you can dash up to him relatively easily after he does his chaos move go to the center of the arena he dashes towards that

In his second phase he will always have a vulnerability stage after he uses a chaos arcana. After casting one he will do 2 dashes with a moment inbetween while doing nothing else. Just need to land a single hit at any point before he starts his cycle again and he will be stunned.

Sura is actually incredibly easy compared to the other council members(speaking to their tier 3 incarnations of course). Hope he gets a revamp at some point since while he is cool, once you learn the fight you would have to be limping pretty bad going into the fight to ever lose at this point imo. Kinda anticlimactic when playing hard mode with the insignia of legend on and Sura is by far the easiest part of the run lol.

Despite the fact that Sura is the easiest boss to defeat, I still find him to be the most fun boss. And no, I'm not talking about his first phase, I'm refering to his second phase.

Maybe if his arcanas were always randomized and weren't presets, his second phase would be outstanding. I seriously feel like this game needs more bosses that can act like the player and throw arcanas left and right instead of being gimmicky, like the other 3 bosses in the game.

i completlely agree with the first part but i think the bosses being bosses is a little more cool

With bosses in this game its all about being patient and waiting for a good opportunity. There is no rush, i did that like this since i first beat Sura, i even unlocked all the chaos arcana by now.

i've one hudred percented this game and the bosses how they are now i think is best sura being more player like is what makes him special and i think that's awesome

Sura's pretty easy to deal with in his second phase, dodge nonstop. When you have an opening use whatever mobility spell you got to close the gap and stun him, then you combo. Not bad once you get the hang of it.
