that doesnt change the layout it changes the button graphics
like xbox to playstation buttons
I already mentioned steam controller configuration workaround in the main post. It does work.
But It's hacky that you have to use an external app just to rebind some buttons. And again, the prompts in the game will not change accordingly to your remapping, obviously.
I'm not asking for the moon here. Pretty much every game should let you remap the controls.
It doesnt work with DS4. At least not in my experience.
This is one of those games that already recognizes that controller even without programs like that one running. Which means the usual problem: There's no way to STOP it from recognizing it. So no matter what changes I try to make to switch buttons using that program, the game utterly ignores all of them because it's still catching all of the original inputs. It's not often that a game does this, but I've seen it before.
Honestly, there's zero excuse for this one. ALL games need fully rebindable controls.... no exceptions whatsoever for any reason.
This is the main reason why I've only put two hours into it. I can think of a couple of ways to force it, but... ugh. Cant be bothered right now. I'll get around to it eventually, but for right now... feh.
Ultimately, what I decided to do is put inventory on 'select/back', and bind Spell 5 to both LB and LT, and Spell 6 to both RB and RT using Steam Big Picture. I put them on bumper and trigger simultaneously because that way I don't accidentally open my inventory or map mid-combat.
That was puntastic.
