Best Relic you take with you
So, what Relic do you take with you when you enter the Dungeon.

Considering you can only take one, it's a pretty important choice.

At first I went with damage dealers, but I found that the debuff Relics work better overal.

For speedrunning I've been using the Abacus (reduce arcanas cooldown when killing enemies) and it has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Oh, interesting, I haven't even considered using abacus. How much cooldown reduction do you actually get?

I believe it's 1s per enemy killed. Really stacks up quickly when you face a wave of small fries mixed with the big ones.
Great for dealing with floor bosses quickly too, especially if you speedrun since there will be more small guys spawning initially.

For optimal speedrunning you can also use pathfinder's map and go straight for the boss.

I've been bringing in the Pendulum in since it allows me to have shorter CD, which for lightning arcana combos means I can more often than not cause enemies to be in an endless damage loop

another free win is taking the defence/armor cloak and the thesis on defence. get any other armor/defence up during the run or the tailor and laugh as the final boss hits you for 1 damage with all his multihit spells.

What builds have you found that work for speedrunning or are efficient enough to use to the end?

Chaos dash is mandatory due to how op it is.
I've been mixing and matching a few runs, and for now I ended up with the multi-strike wind fists (Shearing chain) + chaos beams for signature.
I tried using both base wind attacks and the straight forward one is better for speedrunning than the spinning one.

I take the Equestricap, temp robe, a lightning build, and play thunderhorse by DethKlok on repeat.

I start with the Infinity Marble (lets you keep Sig charge until you use it instead of draining). I find that i end most fights with full charge only to watch it drain so being able to start new fights with a full Sig is just great fun

I've barely tapped into the game so far, but its usually the Stopwatch. Reduced cooldown relic with the reduced cooldown orb feels really strong.

I've also been trying various Basic builds with the catchers mitt item and Flame Berserk. Its fun being a boulder machine gun

I find that relic is usually useless. Its pretty easy to run to the next room and find a fight in time to use it

Nocturnal Sundial so far has been unbelievable in my opinion. The random times you can chain your spells with no cooldown means you get burst potential unlike any other relic can offer.

I've stumbled upon this as well. I'm not sure if it needs to be toned down or not, but it does what it says. I've found it works best with the fire blast basic.

I agree I used to take the gauntlets when I used the fire attack, but now I run the wind spinning basic, so I decided to switch. Ill either take the raspberry cookies box, or the extra damage for every different element of spell you have. I run a varied build. Extra defense is always nice tho. It really depends on how you play, but all the relics have purpose if you can find em.

I mostly use the map. That way I don't waste time and life going the wrong way. can go directly to the shops and bosses. The amount of times I lose life in random environmental danger rooms with the wrong mobs is just too high. This helps a ton with that
