Platforming changes:

Gravity increased
Added double jump
Slow near walls
Particle cloud effect while moving, against walls, and double jumping
Enemy death cloud particle

Make abilities easier:

Miner
Bomb collision
Miner changed to Tiki Mask including all ability visuals

Witch
Bats optimized
Damage now deals flat rate
Cooldown reduced by 60%
Spread narrowed
wizard dove visual change
Broom
Broom key no longer needs to be held
Press key again to release
Changing direction no longer reduces speed

Boomerang cd reduced
Melee strikes damage increased

Basic spell now correctly triggers as a passive

Alpha 2.1 Patch

Due to a crash report, this patch has been reverted till further testing

Notes:
On the way to the new game mode arcade, coming next patch. Here is some holiday content, and a few balance changes to bring in the holiday season.

Content:

-Two new masks
Santa
King alt skin
Gingerbread
Snowman alt skin

-Three Christmas loot items
25% drop on boss kill

-Wizard
New spell particle effect

Balance changes

-Cake Boss
Player hp healths on present arrival

Top layers attack has been adjusted
greatly reduced rate of fire
cake projectile destroys on player contact

-Boss loot
drop rates adjusted, no more white tier drops

Bug fixed cake boss, cup cake death prevented progression
Bug fixed gold looting, bonus roll was at 100% without equipment stat
Bug fixed pirate level, backgrounds move too fast

Hey, the game looks neat, I've kept an eye on Asher for quite a while, I think it was on indieDB or something like that where I saw it first. Anywho I was curious if you are planning on adding Steam Achievements during EA or upon full release!?....thanks and good luck

Gameplay feedback

Here are some thought I had when I played: -I prefer playing with the controller analogue stick, xbox dpad is worthless. -I would like the character to autofire if i hold down the button. -Biggest issue with the game: the enemies are too spongy, makes the character feel weak. The hero has about 12 hit points, I think the game would be way more fun if the hero had like 3hit points and all enemies died on 1-2 hits. -Its hard to tell what's death pits or not. -A lot of the text is too blurry and low res, hard...

I think we should be able to switch characters during levels

So the game was fun, but very short. All these characters and I never had to use more than one. I think it would make more sense to give the player 3 character slots and let him change them. Just keep the same mana for all of them, and make sure that abilities like bone shield carry over, it will give some synergy. Otherwise you might beat the game and never try other characters....
