The questions can quite often be answered correctly by process of elimination, and that doesnt aid much in learning the language. It does help progress the VN side of things for people who are less interested in the language, so I can see why its more lax that way.
I still think it would be better to seperate studying/tests into character and vocab portions though. Furigana drills are better suited to taking input rather than multiple choice, but vocab works well with multiple choice.
As for the studying I agree that 5 is way too short to really be worth anything. There really aught to be more customization behind your studying process. (length/time/target vocab)
On the multiple duplicate answer 'bug', I don't find that it is always accurate to choose the double-answer; but that has already been stated here in another reply. What I can say for that is, look at the question... say the answer out loud... then go look for it. You WILL learn that way.
Thank you for the comments! On the test content side we are working on a new version with more rules to avoid duplicates and a more defined pool of options. Still random but with more control!
As for the option to have more questions during pop quiz and evening quiz it is somewhat of a conundrum... Many lessons do not have the content to support up to 10 questions (remember that pop quiz and one option of the evening quiz rely solely on the latest lesson) therefore in our test we are facing a lot of...the same question.
As for the option to extend it through a choice from the player we will be looking at it and see what it will take to have it implemented.
Thank you again for giving us your opinion, it is a process for us to define what we need to improve to make LLJ an even better game!
