Min/Max Dual Wield Build Discussion
Hey all,
I'm making a dual wield character and looking for some advice on attribute distribution and skill choice. First, a couple questions about dual wield mechanics:

1. When dual wielding, is the offhand merely a "stat stick" so to speak? If so, wouldn't it be best to have an axe (rather than a knife) in the offhand?

2. Does dual wielding give access to both weapon pool skills? (e.g. knife and axe skills)

Here is my attribute distribution atm for dual wielding knife in the mainhand and axe in the offhand:

Strength - 10
Enduranc - 7
Finesse: - 10
Perception: - 1
Sense: - 1

Now, one could also dual wield sword in the mainhand and axe in the offhand. This would make finesse a little less important imo, which means you could drop it to 7 and raise endurance to 10 instead:

Strength - 10
Enduranc - 10
Finesse: - 7
Perception: - 1
Sense: - 1

Which setup do you think is better?

Also, I was hoping to get some thoughts on the Keen Eye skill, which grants 50% armor piercing for all attacks (which presumably includes melee). However, the skill requires 6 perception, which is a relatively worthless attribute for melee characters. Does anyone know if it would be worth it for a melee character to raise perception just to get this skill?

I'll just politely direct you to the discussion that answers most of your questions:

@Keen Eye: yes, to my knowledge this includes melee, but armour piercing is a set property of the equiped weapon and can not be modified. Keen Eye only takes this weapon value and adds 50%. If this sounds good to you take it, it's definitly a skill worth the points, but rather later in the game when enemies get better armoured.
Raising Perception just for that skill however doesn't seem wise to me, you definitly want character to be good at something not medicore at everything.
