Those are all the games I can attest to as being good strategy squad combat games. Sign on recruits, train them into something useful and then beat the odds. And while it's not exactly similar to Expeditions: Vikings I can also recommend Rimworld. It's more of a colony simulator but it has some elements of building up a squad of colonists to make a living in the wilderness.
I perefer the first Blackguards. Much less npc characters running around.
There's literally thousands of games like this one going all the way back to the 80's, but questions like these should be more specific. Stuff like what exactly do you like about the game that you want to see in another.
