Loading Freezes

I have been away from the game for about a month and was super excited to finish last minute things before heading to england. But when I went to load the game the shield spins and does its thing but right about the end, or what I think should be the end of loading the shield freezes, like i can see where it is and a lighter faded red line where the shield last was. Task manager doesn't say it is frozen and when reclick to open it back up the screen is black, but the mouse with the expedition pointer being visable, I am able to move it around but that is it no sound no other progress nothing. Really bummed out the games been quite an adventure. Even tried loaded up past saves all do the same thing. Any advice that you can give please. Thanks happy vikinging.

The game can sometimes have quite long loading times, so first thing to try is to just leave it alone for a bit longer.

You can also send us your output.log from /Expeditions Viking_Data/ next to the game's executable, in case something else might be going on. You can send it to [e-mail].

yep long load times, mine has also been locking up mid combat also. sometimes for good requireing a restart.

Unlike long loading times, freezing during combat is not normal. If you get one of those, you should send your output_log.txt file to [e-mail]. However, if your entire PC locks up so you can't even get out of the game by closing the process, that is most likely a hardware issue.
