As this is an enormous complicated thing I'd advice to really put a big attention mark on CC screen the next patch for ppl that never played one of your titles before. Could save time and frustration for both sides. In most roleplay games there're no fix attributes like this, so you wouldn't expect it to be ;)
For an in-game change, I'm guessing that a save game editor will work. Thankfully I only lost an hour or three when I realized I needed to reroll.
So I was about 6 hours where I got a close combat archer. So yes, as I'm as well not like "after I was - unintentionally, yet - fooled devil-may-care". Please add this info in a bold typo to the tutorial to prevent unnecessary frustration sources.
Glad to hear you didn't lost that much time.
Edit: @Nova
Recently got into that "hack" you posted and it seemed to work. It saved me from being forced to restart the story, so thank you. Edited the initial posting to smoothen the scaring off border the hack text block could summon on some users.
you can change alot of aspects of the game; just fair warning as it says in the instructions, back up your data before making changes. Trust me, I am the poster child for ruining a few of my saved games. But after you get the gist of editing, you can do all sorts of fun things like changing some of your hirds appearance and even color tones.
This guide saved me rerolling after 5-6 hours into the game. Thanks!
Thank you!
Finally, a dream came true: https://i.imgur.com/l16cX2d.jpg
Edit:
Found and managed to change it.
All I had to do was open the save file located in MyGames/Expedition Vikings/Savegames it's the .sav file.
The mistake I made was that I opened a subfolder in the Savegames folder which is a wrong thing to do.
