Healing and Medicine Question

I just completed the beach village in England and have a few injuries. Two critical and a light over 3 characters. I camped and focused on my two criticals, they went to severe. I camped again to try and heal a second time and realized that I had somehow burnt through all my medicine and only had enough for the light wound. While curing the light wound my two severes slipped back to critical...total waste.

I've collected every single available resource in the game so far but have run out of medicine while healing my party. I have a lot of herbs and two lvl 3(the highest you can get at this point in the game) witchcraft characters but they convert very little medicine while the healing skill uses a huge amount.

1) Is buying a ton of medicine just a big part of the game and if so can I just forgo dumping as many points into healing and witchcraft?

2) Do you typically camp until you heal all wounds ie: camp 2-3 times in row after big battles or do you typically camp when fatigued/hungry and run around for the most part with injuries?

Buy a lot of medecine and herbs !

I finished the game with 20k ...

If i'd known that money was so worthless i'd have bought more medecine, this would have made my playthrought less boring ( from all the camping and looking for herbs everywhere ).

Money is usefull to give to your mother (to increase your prosperity value).But thats it
